Lady Gowrie Tasmania is seeking a values driven and people focused leader to fill the role of Chief Executive Officer, to continue to deliver quality services and to help the organisation grow to meet demand.

Lady Gowrie Tasmania is a not-for-profit, community based organisation that has proudly supported children and families for over 80 years. Guided by its philosophy of Children First, Lady Gowrie Tasmania:

• offers more than 40 education and care services,
• delivers a range of professional learning programs for the sector through Gowrie Training and Consultancy, a Registered Training Organisation
• provides a range of child and family inclusion and wellbeing support services.

This role will suit a forward looking visible leader with the capacity to provide strategic direction and management for a multi-faceted, values driven and dynamic organisation. The ability to empower others and provide collaborative leadership support to the passionate teams within Lady Gowrie Tasmania, and as part of the early and middle childcare sector, will be critical to success in this role.

Building and fostering effective relationships with key stakeholders, including families, community and sector leads and government and statutory bodies will also be important. Previous experience working in the not for profit sector, in a highly regulated environment, and/or an understanding of best practice in the education and care of young children and their families will all be highly regarded but are not essential.
