About The Role

Reporting to the Training Business Partner for our Planning & Corporate business units, this role has key accountability for delivering instructional training and coordination activities to frontline operations staff. The core curriculum encompasses a standard induction, soft skills, technical, system, process and procedural training.

The Training Officer is intended where possible to be multi skilled in delivery across all operational

front-line staff.

Primarily based at our Head Office in North Sydney, there may be requirements to travel on occasion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide frontline operational employees with quality training through the consistent delivery of approved training materials
  • Provide Pacific National employees with quality assessment through the application of standard examination and assessment tools
  • Ensure that processes for planning, preparation and delivery of training are utilised
  • Contribute to the maintenance, efficiency and effectiveness of courses delivered

About You

You will be expected to be a positive role model and change agent, capable of identifying, communicating and implementing change. You will be a strong communicator with the ability to influence and positively engage with stakeholders.

Ideal candidates will have experience working in a highly regulated environment, co-ordinating and delivering training programs across several operational divisions.

In addition, our ideal candidate would be expected to demonstrate:
  • Certificate IV in Workplace Training/related discipline (TAE10)
  • Experience in an RTO or regulated training environment and understanding of technical training deliverables would be highly regarded
  • Sound understanding of the principles of adult learning and a solid understanding of modern training principles and practices (blended learning, eLearning)
  • Working knowledge of Learning Management systems, including the ability to manage qualifications
  • Demonstrated computer literacy and proficiency
