The centre
This 100 place centre is located in South Melbourne and is a state of the art centre, that was purpose built 6 years ago. The service has a strong play based philosophy and is inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach to childrens learning. The centre has an onsite administration team and a very experienced educational leader and assistant director to support you in ensuring this centre runs to an exceeding level of operations.
The Role
Your role will be as the Centre Manager of this beautiful childcare centre and you will develop amazing relationships with the families, lead the team of educators and build a fantastic learning environment for the children.
The key responsibilities will be to:
The day to day running of the centre is at an exceeding level
Provide leadership and guidance to all staff
Manage the educators development plans
Build relationships with all families and be the face of the service
Manage rosters and recruitment of staff
Report back to the owner on the running of the service
Work with external stakeholders
Ensure the centre is compliant with Centre Policies, Legislation and NQS
Ensure health & safety standards are maintained at a high level at all times

About you
To be eligible for this position you must have:
A Diploma in Children Services or a degree in Early Childhood Teaching
A current Working with Children Check, up-to-date first aid, asthma and anaphylaxis
Great communication skills and a positive attitude
