Teacher – North Hobart

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Teacher to develop programs and practices that are responsive to our children’s needs and aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standard.

Goodstart Early Learning North Hobart is ideally located between the city and suburb of North Hobart. We are close to schools, shopping areas and the central business district.
Our centre has an excellent reputation in the community as a provider of quality child care and education.
We have a wonderful team of early childhood professionals who develop interesting and engaging programs for the children. There are six rooms at the centre, and we care for children aged from 6 weeks to 5 years old.
Your role
- Hold a Bachelor of Early Childhood or equivalent qualification (ACECQA approved)
- Hold a current First Aid qualification
- Work in a purpose built, well resourced centre
- 113 place centre with 4 rooms
- Role will be running a 4-5 Kinder room
- Centre has incursions and excursions in place
- Full time, permanent role commencing immediately
- Plan innovative and engaging learning experiences
- Champion positive and meaningful relationships with children
Responsibilities
- Assess children’s learning and development and apply pedagogical expertise to inform curriculum decisions
- Maintain and apply expert knowledge of the National Quality Framework
- Seek and share best practice examples to improve the education program
- Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with families, children and the centre team
- Model effective application of pedagogy in teaching practice
- Contribute to a professional and positive work culture
