Our Faculty of Health, Engineering and Sciences is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and suitably experienced professional to join the team and make a critical contribution to the success of the Faculty’s academic offerings.

As an Academic Support Leader, you will play an integral role in the implementation of University strategic initiatives and provide leadership within the team to ensure the development and implementation of contemporary procedures in support of quality academic program delivery within the Faculty.

Reporting to the Manager (Academic Program Support), you will:

  • lead and motivate work teams in the development and implementation of effective and efficient practices that support academic administration across the Faculty;
  • engage with internal and external stakeholders and contribute to and/or lead the projects which support the review of the programs and specialisations; and
  • support the maintenance and capacity building of Faculty information and systems which are relevant to the delivery of academic programs across a range of publications and platforms.

Your success in this role will primarily be underpinned by your commitment to providing quality client service and working collaboratively with our students and academic staff to achieve success. You will be a competent leader, with the ability to develop effective engagement and working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, the ability to lead projects and provide high-level support, advice and reporting for the Faculty.

In addition, you will have:

  • proven experience in the developing and implementing business process improvement efficiencies in a service delivery environment;
  • experience in leading highly engaged and effective work teams;
  • highly developed interpersonal skills and stakeholder engagement skills;
  • an ability to collaboratively develop high level plans and strategies that deliver results; and
  • advanced level writing and document drafting skills.

Knowledge and experience of academic offerings in the higher education sector is preferred.

Please note, appointment will be made to the title of Senior Coordinating Academic Program Support Officer.

Salary: Total remuneration range $115,235 to $132,324 pa (includes salary range of $97,371 to $111,810 pa, employer superannuation contributions of 17% of salary and annual leave loading)
