About Learning Links

Learning Links have been helping families and children with learning difficulties for almost 50 years. Learning Links large Charity Housie operations, run from our Registered Clubs Partners in NSW, supports the charitable work of our organisation to provide services to children and their families.

We have an exciting and rare opportunity for a Housie Area Manager to join Learning Links. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for providing leadership to staff including coaching, training and development and the preparation and coordination of staff rosters.

This role requires you to have outstanding organisational skills and the ability to work and under pressure, managing all customer complaints effectively to ensure that all aspects of the Charity Housie program are operating to the maximum outcomes.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring that Housie sessions are meeting business and regulatory requirements
  • Build positive relationships with patrons
  • Ensure workplace health and safety at all times

Essential skills and experience:

  • Strong interpersonal skills, active listening, empathy, social awareness and emotional intelligence in verbal communications
  • Experience in calling and supervising Bingo/Housie sessions
  • Excellent demonstrated Customer Service skills
  • Demonstrated conflict management and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build team spirit and support team members’ development
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all Learning Links staff formally and informally to achieve joint outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and take responsibility of the achievement of work outcomes and assist others to understand their roles and responsibilities
  • Ability to communicate sensitive information to staff respectfully and clearly
  • Demonstrated ability to provide constructive feedback and balanced and informed perspectives at team meetings
  • Demonstrated initiative and enterprise to support others to work more effectively
  • Ability to make equitable decisions
  • Relevant experience in a Club environment or in a similar role
