UTS Business School is the largest Faculty at UTS and one of the largest business schools in Australia, with over 10,000 students and 350 staff. UTS Business School comprises five Discipline Groups and four Research Centres. The UTS Futures Academy are establishing a new position of Project Coordinator to provide project coordination expertise in a client facing role managing logistics for group coaching projects.

The role will provide a high level of project and administrative support and will involve scheduling Action Learning groups and coaching sessions for senior leaders. The appointee will also ensure accurate, timely and appropriate responses to the varied demands of the client, participants, projects teams and coaches.

To be successful in the role the incumbent will need a sophisticated ability to work with people across the university, external stakeholder, excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Planning and scheduling of coaching and facilitated sessions with senior public sector leaders. This will involve coordinating four coaching & facilitated sessions for approximately 100 project groups
  • Performing primary two-way communication role for questions from participants (e.g. sending communications / reminders, field questions and refer to Academic Lead / Subject Matter Expert as needed)
  • Organising and moderating kick off meeting to meet UTS facilitators and PSC coaches (involves developing an effective agenda, booking in meetings on teams, moderating teams sessions and providing support to coaches)
  • Managing issues and enquiries regarding group project work and refer to Academic Lead as required
  • Scheduling key meetings as required

With examples, please outline in a separate document how you meet the following five (5) key selection criteria points below:

1. Demonstrated superior and effective interpersonal skills with the ability to interact sensitively and effectively with stakeholders and ability to develop collaborative relationships with colleagues and client groups both internal and external to the University
2. Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritise and organise work to meet deadlines including the ability to multi-task to deal with competing demands
3. A high level of accuracy, attention to detail and organisation skills
4. Demonstrated experience in a project coordination role
5. An appropriate tertiary qualification or equivalent relevant experience


Base Salary Range: $71,774 to $82,110 pa (HEW 5) (pro-rated)

This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.

This position is part-time (0.6 FTE/3 days per week) and appointment will be made on a fixed term basis of 8 months.
