About the role

Working and learning at the same time, to achieve a nationally recognised qualification in Childcare and Early Learning, whilst simultaneously gaining priceless experience and professional development. If this sounds like you, Young Academics currently has vacancies for Trainees who are interested, committed and passionate about obtaining a Cert III within the industry.

Our trainees provide hands on assistance to our team of dedicated educators and staff, creating a stimulating, positive and inclusive environment for the children enrolled at our Centres. Our trainees are exposed to EYLF and ACECQA requirements, actually utilised within the rooms to support children as appropriate to their traineeship status, and not just put to work doing the jobs nobody else wants to do. We value our trainees.

Employment during a traineeship is full-time. Traineeship education via an approved RTO, outside of work hours and within work hours, is supported. On the job training is provided in a nurturing, supportive workplace.

Successful applicants will:

• Not hold a current qualification in Childcare and Early Learning nor be currently working towards completing a qualification in Childcare and Early Learning
• Be 18+ years of age
• Demonstrate very strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively assist children's learning and liaise with the children, families and staff.
• Preferably have some experience taking care of children
• Hold a current working with children's check (essential)
• Not have achieved a qualification in any field for the past 8 years
• Be proactively helpful and have genuine enthusiasm and passion for the childcare profession
• Demonstrate strong commitment to high quality care and education for children.
• Be committed to studying and actively completing our 12-month traineeship
• Come to us with a desire to grow professionally and personally
• Have the ability to learn everything they can about Early Learning. Not just from a hands-on childcare aspect, but with a view to having a career with us as a future Educator, a potential leader, a possible manager, and so much more.

Young Academics Early Learning Centre provides education and care to children aged 0 to 6 years of age. We know early childhood is a critical time in the growth and development of a child, and as such support and scaffold their life-long-learning and wellbeing via Educators, programs, resources, operations and environmental factors that are contemporary and front-of-industry.
