The Centre

Honeybee Child Care Centre is located i n the heart of Sydney's CBD and provides a high-quality long day care program to children of Commonwealth Bank employees Monday to Friday between 7:30am - 6pm.

Honeybee is rated EXCEEDING the National Quality Standard and specialises in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and Heritage and has an everyday focus on learning and connecting to the First Peoples of Australia through incorporating into their program activities such as researching Gadigal land, art works, through learning local Aboriginal language and through every day discussions about diverse aspects of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and heritage.

The Role

Honeybee Child Care Centre is looking for an educator with a completed Certificate III qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care and a drive and passion in their work with children.

On offer is a permanent full time position working 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday on a rotating roster and acruing one monthly rostered day off.

What are we looking for?

We want you to be as passionate about early childhood education and as committed to achieving positive outcomes as we are.

In addition, you will have:

  • Work rights to enable you to work in Australia
  • A current NSW Working with Children Check
  • Recognised Certificate III in Children’s Services or similar as approved by Australian Children’s Education and Quality Authority (ACECQA)
  • Current Child Protection training
  • Sound understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law(2010) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations(2011)
  • Working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Frameworks (EYLF)
  • Professional level of written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated computer literacy skills
