About the role
Reporting directly to the Director, the Chief Operating Officer will provide strategic and operational support to the Director, and lead and direct the diverse functions that contribute to the achievement of organisational strategy and objectives. This high-profile role ranges from aligning strategy to operational plans through to optimising organisational efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring the organisation remains a viable and sustainable organisation, maximising its mission.

About you
A highly regarded operations professional, you present as a successful leader and are accomplished in driving and implementing strategic plans. Underpinning your track record in leading and developing multi-disciplinary, expert teams that operate at high levels of complexity – including finance, human resources, risk and other associated business functions — are your collaborative leadership style and outstanding interpersonal skills. You demonstrate a sound knowledge of the operation of Australian governments at both commonwealth and state levels, as well as the research/university and mental health environments. Critical to your success has been your highly developed influencing skills, and your ability to build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders at all levels, including working with boards.
