Full Job Description
The International Portfolio is responsible for leading the University’s international growth, engagement and the establishment of new international education and commercial enterprises. It manages the University’s principal international partnerships, and it develops and supports international relationships that: enhance the University’s global reputation; grow international student participation and income; deliver high quality transnational education programs; attract students to the University through international partnerships and pathways; secure access to new resources for research and research students; and, enables student and staff mobility for collaboration with international partners. The portfolio performs strategic planning and development functions in very close conjunction with Schools to support their success in the diverse activities which exemplify ECU’s Internationalisation.
We are looking for an experienced international administration professional with highly developed organisational and communication skills, to coordinate the University’s Learning Abroad (Global Student Mobility) priorities and other activities across portfolios as required.
Based in the International Office and reporting to the Manager Internationalisation, this 12-month Maternity Cover role, will work closely with Schools to develop Government Funding Applications for learning abroad programs. You will liaise with internal and external stakeholders (including government departments and international partners) to develop Student Exchange, Study Abroad, Study Tour and other relevant international agreements.
Key Criteria:
A high attention to detail especially in the preparation of reports, presentations and business case/briefing notes
Solid financial understanding and/or experience working with Excel spreadsheets
Experience in preparing and managing contracts or agreements preferably in an international or academic context
Ability to interpret and apply relevant and applicable policies and procedures in the day to day performance of the functions of the position
Well-developed communication skills and the ability to form and maintain good working relationships with stakeholder and provide relevant and timely advice
An understanding of contemporary Learning Abroad (Global Student Mobility) issues including virtual programs and government funding systems and policies and/or experience in International and/or Higher Education would be advantageous.
You will also demonstrate personal attributes that are congruent with the University’s values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry and Personal Excellence.
Benefits & Remuneration
This full-time, fixed-term position attracts a remuneration of $82,658 to $89,180 pa plus 17 % University superannuation contribution.
