The Opportunity
“Improving representativeness in non-probability surveys and causal inference with regularized regression and poststratification” is a project that seeks to explore and extend the use of multi-level regression and post-stratification and related methods to non-probability surveys and causal inference in a predictive outcome framework. The project is currently looking for a Research Fellow to join their team.
Having expertise with Bayesian methods and computation the successful applicant will be responsible for:
- The conduction of research and then the production of conference and seminar papers and publications from that research
- Supervision of research-support staff
- Occasional contributions to the teaching program on the research project
- Involvement in professional activities including, subject to availability of fund, attendance at conferences and seminars in the field of expertise
Knowledge of the languages Stan and R are highly desirable, as is knowledge or expertise in multilevel regression or survey weighting methods.
