JOB DESCRIPTION

The Compliance Coordinator role works collaboratively with Operational leaders to process various compliance notifications to the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (the Department), ensuring high quality information is provided within the required timeframes. This role will also monitor feedback and agreed follow up action to support completion and work collaboratively with other departments to ensure centre compliance items are rectified within allocated timeframes. This role will cover a maternity leave period, expected to be a period of approximately 6 months.

Key responsibilities:

  • Collaboratively work within the centralised G8 Education external notification process and procedures to ensure high quality and timely notifications are made to the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority, via the Departments portal.
  • Maintain records for each Centre regarding notifications, breaches and Service Approval Waivers to enable access and retrieval.
  • Monitor feedback provided to the Department and process reminders to ensure Centres implement agreed continuous improvement activities.
  • Review process across our organisation, including the review of all Assessment and Rating reports, developing improvement plans with centres, while documenting and monitoring effectiveness of improvement plans.
  • Provide coaching and support to Centre Managers regarding the process for notifications, responses to Breaches, Quality Improvement Planning and feedback.
  • Support stakeholders to improve Assessment & Rating results to achieve exceeding ratings.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Diploma Children’s Services
  • Minimum 5 years’ sector experience (or experience within a highly regulated sector)
  • Analytical skills with demonstrated written and reporting abilities
  • Collaborative verbal skills with an ability to negotiate and influence outcomes.
  • Previous experience in a regulatory or compliance function.
  • Highly organised with an ability to manage competing priorities within tight timeframes.
