This position is funded by an Australian Research Council Linkage Grant that uses social sciences methodologies to encourage and enable research culture and practice within Australia’s library and information professions. The Research Fellow will take a lead role in conducting data analysis and writing papers for publication based on data gathered previously in the project and also lead the final stage of data collection. Experience with qualitative research designs and methods (e.g., interviews; focus groups) is essential for this role, as is prior publishing experience (e.g., journal articles; book chapters; conference papers). Experience with mixed methods designs (e.g., integrating questionnaire data with qualitative results) and interdisciplinary research would be beneficial for the role, but not required.

About you
To be successful in the role, you will have:
  • A PhD in a social science field
  • Demonstrated ability to use qualitative social science methods and analysis techniques
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to co-author peer-reviewed publications
