We are a leading Aquatics provider in Far North Queensland, with multiple facilities which include: Smithfield Aquatics and Fitness, Gordonvale Aquatic Facility, Babinda Aquatic Facility, Atherton Aquatic Facility and Long Tan Memorial Pool. Due to recent growth we are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced, Head Swim Coach (FULL TIME) to join our Marlin Coast (Bajada) Team. This position will include coaching and travel between our facilities.

Main Duties:

● Development and implementation of a high performance swim program to a

national level

● Supervise the swimmers during practise, meets and other swim periods

● Organise and coordinate swim meet and practise schedules for the swimmers

● Responsible for swim meet preparation, including equipment setup.

● Actively promote the squad programme and build squad participation

● Assist with the preparation, operation and clean up of home swim meets

● Serves as the primary communicator to the aquatic manager, swim club

committee, junior coaching staff, parents and swimmers

● Record and analyse swimmers meet results

● Support and communicate with the junior coaching staff and swim teachers,

providing educational opportunities where available

● Maintain a professional, clean, neat, work environment

● Works as a team player with co-workers

● Assist with school swimming programs and learn to swim programs when

required

● Assist with pool plant maintenance and operations - backwashes, water

testing, pump room checks, etc.

● May be required to perform other duties as assigned by supervisors

Qualifications and Experience required:

● Current Blue Card (must)

● Current CPR certificate (must)

● Current First Aid certificate (must)

● Current AUSTSWIM Teacher of Competitive Strokes or ASCTA Teacher of

Competitive Swimming Licence (must)

● AT LEAST 2 years experience teaching at a competitive squad level (must)

● Bachelor Degree of Physical Education (highly desirable)

● Pool Plant operations knowledge (highly desirable)

● Formal Qualification equivalent to at least Certificate III in a high relevant field

of study is a must.

Remuneration and Reward

Salary package: AU$57,000 per annum + superannuation
