Majura Park Childcare is a large Canberra-owned and operated Centre which has been operating successfully for the last 12 years. We provide a safe, nurturing, stimulating and homelike environment that provides experiences which reflect children’s diversity, strengths, needs and interests.

Our current Director has accepted a change of career opportunity, teaching the next generation of early childhood professionals - so we are looking for a great new addition to our team, to replace her.

The role: This is a great opportunity for an experienced professional ECT, who is currently a Centre Director or a passionate early education professional who wants to take that next step in their career!.

Duties:

• Provide strong leadership, support and guidance to our team of educators.
• Ensure our Centre provides the highest quality education, development and care to our children.
• Manage educator rosters and attendance.
• Manage educators performance in education and care.
• Ensure the Centre is compliant with the National Regulations, the National Quality Framework and our company policies.
• Motivate and encourage our educators about the NQF, NQS, National Regulations plus current thinking, research and practice while implementing the EYLF.
• Always work in collaboration with families.

Requirements

• An Australian qualification in Early Childhood Education (at the GradDip or Bachelor level)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Skill and experience in motivating a high-performing team.
• A genuine passion for working with children, and providing quality education and care.
• A positive approach to supporting children and their families.
• A meaningful and long-term commitment with our children.
• Current Working With Vulnerable People Check.

You will ultimately need to possess the initiative, maturity and leadership skills to mentor and support your dedicated team of educators.
