About The Role

The new PLC Sydney Preschool, Ashfield has opened with state of the art facilities. The operating hours are 8.00 am to 4.30 pm Monday to Friday and in line with NSW Government term times.

We are seeking an experienced Director for the Ashfield Preschool to be part of the professional team serving the Preschool community. Leadership experience with preschools is essential, as is a practising Protestant faith base.

The Director Is Required To

  • manage the day-to-day operations of the Preschool in compliance with all requirements of the National Quality Framework, ACECQA, in the role as the Nominated Supervisor
  • lead, guide and support the team to provide high-quality Early Childhood education and care to the children, based on the Reggio Emilia framework
  • model best practice Early Childhood teaching in the classroom
  • provide dynamic, effective and ethical leadership and management of Preschool staff
  • be aware of contemporary developments in Early Childhood education and initiate reforms as appropriate and approved
  • actively support the Christian ethos of the Presbyterian Church
  • actively link programs, such as Music, with Evandale (PLC Sydney) and with Ashfield Presbyterian Church, eg church services
  • liaise closely with the Head of Junior School regarding enrolment decisions
  • abide by the staff Code of Conduct

You will be required to support the Christian ethos of the Preschool. You will need to provide a Working With Children Check Clearance Number and date of birth. You will also need current ACECQA-approved Child Protection, Asthma, Anaphylaxis, First Aid and CPR qualifications.

The Preschool offers above award remuneration based on skills and experience.
