The Komatsu Training Academy (KTA) is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) specifically developed to assist our construction, quarry and mining customers by delivering nationally recognised and customised training where you need it – online, on-site, at customers’ premises or at our own dedicated training facilities.

The Opportunity

Komatsu currently have multiple vacancies for RTO Technical Trainer and Assessors to join the business.

Reporting to the Senior Trainer, the purpose of the role is to design, develop, deliver and evaluate technical training programs for Komatsu staff which enhance the skills of our people and improve support to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high quality training that achieves course participant evaluation results in the 90–100% range
  • Increase the range of technical training programs which can be delivered
  • Design, upgrade or develop training materials to Komatsu’s RTO standards
  • Continually improve skills, knowledge and experiences to ensure they remain current
  • Maintain frequent and collaborative technical relationships with the support teams to ensure training is current, accurate and validated
  • Promote our technical and apprentice training to customers as high quality OEM-certified programs

The Skills We’re Looking For
  • Certificate IV TAE40116 in Training and Assessment (Required)
  • Possess relevant qualifications in AUR30316 Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology and/or AUR31216 Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within the training industry.
  • Understanding and experience of the operations of an RTO
  • Ability to build strong internal and customer relationships
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Experience with personal computer technology, including Power Point presentations, word-processing, spreadsheet, database, desktop publishing and comfort with using computer-based simulations and animations in a Windows environment is required
