The opportunity


As our Lead Learning Designer, you will be responsible for the development of online courses and you will serve as the primary contact for program coordinators and faculty partners. You will be assigned to manage specific programs within a larger portfolio, and you will assist in guiding the course design standards and frameworks for the internal team on courses within your assigned programs.


This will be achieved by


  • Designing and revising online courses for partner Universities
  • Working with the Project Management team to deliver reports on course development progress and resourcing
  • Guiding the development and maintenance of the program’s template course
  • Assisting academics with design and redesign of courses for online delivery, including the storyboarding of interactive learning objects
  • Ensuring the courses running each term for the partner programs are designed on time, on budget and according to specifications
  • Developing student orientation materials and assist with developing faculty orientation and support materials
  • Facilitating the introduction of Learning Designers to academics and program coordinators
  • Maintaining course collaboration spaces and file-sharing standards in Dropbox and SharePoint/Teams
  • Support new program launches and attend partner launch meetings as needed


Success in this role comes down to a few key elements


  • Post Graduate Qualifications (preferred)
  • 2 years’ experience in developing innovative Learning design in the University setting 
  • Understanding of and ability to apply pedagogy in practice 
  • Strong project management skills, with demonstrated project management within a university setting highly regarded 
  • Strong stakeholder management with demonstrated, extensive experience in consultation with academics/SMEs and higher-level administrators 
  • Passion for curriculum design and experience within university teaching environment, preferably with an online component 
  • Experience in developing learning materials within a range of Learning Management Systems
