UOW College Australia (UOWCA) is wholly owned by the University of Wollongong. Since 1988, we have been offering students alternative entry to UOW through university preparation courses. Our product offerings include Academic programs (Higher Education Diplomas and University Access Programs), English Programs, and Vocational programs (including Nursing and Fitness).

Permanent Position

Full Time (38 hours per week)


An exciting opportunity exists to join the UOWCA Vocational team in the role of Program Manager Nursing. The primary purpose of this role is to manage all aspects of the Diploma of Nursing Program including staff, industry engagement, training and assessment strategies and resources, identifying business opportunities and student progression. The main responsibilities of the Program Manager Nursing include coordinating and overseeing the delivery of HLT54115 Diploma of Nursing, overseeing the student experience, providing leadership and managing trainers. The program manager is responsible for ensuring a high quality student experience in accordance to the Australian Nursing & Midwifery Accreditation Council (ANMAC) and Standards for RTOs 2015 requirements.

The successful applicant will hold a relevant health qualification and the TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent, have minimum of 3 years' experience working within the industry, and have skills in assessment development and instructional design.

Selection Criteria to be addressed in application

  • Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board Australia as a registered nurse with no conditions relating to conduct or performance, and holds a post-graduate tertiary qualification relevant to their discipline.
  • Minimum of three (3) years full-time experience in teaching/facilitation and or/administration of nursing programs.
  • TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated relevant recent nursing clinical experience.
  • High level of knowledge and understanding of the VET environment and compliance.
