About the organisation

Brisbane Catholic Education is a learning community of over 145 schools. We aim to provide quality teaching and learning outcomes for Prep to Year 12 students.

About the role

Within the Learning and Pedagogy team, you will work collaboratively to support the implementation of key strategic directions that enhance leadership and teaching in the area of Literacy. You will provide direct support in Literacy as part of Write Up! BCE' s Middle Years writing project (Y5-10) with a focus on Literacy within the Australian and Religious Education curriculums in Years 7-10.

You will be required to:
Work collaboratively to deliver strategic directions in Literacy for BCE schools
Provide professional learning opportunities to stakeholders and school support teams in alignment with relevant research and data
Build the capacity of Middle Leaders and teachers to implement effective literacy teaching practices by providing regular and ongoing support
Contribute to the development of a professional learning communities, fulfilling reporting and other accountabilities as required.

To be successful in this role you will have:
current registration with QCT;
current driver’s licence;
an understanding of Literacy as a general capability and experience with teaching the Australian Curriculum;
experience providing literacy and learning area content and pedagogical knowledge to a range of stakeholders.
