Reporting directly to the Vice-Chancellor, the Executive Dean has ultimate responsibility for all aspects of the strategic leadership, operation and management of the Faculty including leading an effective Faculty Executive Team and ensuring the Schools optimise realisation of the University's goals.As a member of the Vice-Chancellor's Advisory Group, the Executive Dean plays a significant role in University-wide initiatives and an advocacy and liaison role with industry, accreditation bodies, government and philanthropists in developing partnerships, meeting requirements and advancing the interests of the Faculty and its programs.

In appointing the Executive Dean, we seek an outstanding academic leader with an international research track record and demonstrated success in leading dynamic and complex organisational units. The position is ideally suited to an accomplished clinician researcher or translational researcher who is motivated to drive excellence, innovation and growth. Outstanding interpersonal skills, presence and credibility are essential to develop and promote effective and collegial relationships internal and external to the University.
