About the business and the role:

The Australian College of Fitness & Bodywork (ACFB) is an award winning Training Provider that delivers nationally recognised courses in Remedial Massage, Myotherapy, Fitness and Business.

We have an industry leading approach to education; specialising in supportive, interactive and highly practical training for our students.

Our philosophy of 'Quality Rather Than Quantity' has been our driving force since our inception in 1989.

Job tasks and responsibilities:

We are currently seeking a Part-Time trainer and assessor to join our fitness department with duties including teaching across the following courses:

  • Certificate III in Fitness
  • Certificate IV in Fitness

Other main role components include:

  • Assisting students within our FLEXI programs
  • One-on-one practical sessions
  • Marking and recording student assessments
  • Providing student support
  • Course development and continuous improvement

Skills and experience:

We are seeking someone who:

  • is well presented, self-motivated and is proactive and enthusiastic with exceptional interpersonal skills
  • has relevant teaching/training experience (minimum of 2 years experience in education/training)
  • has excellent presentation skills; including a positive and professional work manner
  • is team focused and has the ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines and work accurately
  • is flexible in the hours they can work as an evening per week and one Saturday per month will be required.

Required qualifications:

  • Minimum Diploma of Fitness with Relevant higher education qualification(s) preferred
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or equivalent
  • Senior First Aid (Level II) and CPR
