Full Job Description

Us kids at St Paul Apostle South Primary School in Endeavour Hills are looking for someone to play, teach us and take care of us before and after school so mum and dad can work or study. We want to feel safe, have fun, play games and make new friends. We love yummy food. The grown-ups tell us it has to be healthy but we know you can make it healthy (for them) and yummy (for us!). We like to know what comes next, so you’ll need to be organised. We enjoy arts and crafts, sports, board games, dance, drama, gardening, cooking and cool science stuff… and did we mention yummy food? Will you be our person?

What’s the job?

Plan our program every day so we love it and know what comes next.
Make sure we’re safe all the time.
Get to know us, our mums, dads, guardians and the Principal.
Keep the place tidy so we don’t get detention.
Manage the other educators who look after us so we know what to expect from all of you.
Play with us instead of just standing around watching us play.

Regulated Requirements (completed or willing to obtain):
A Diploma or higher in Children’s Services (or studying towards) or equivalent
A current Employee Working with Children’s Check to keep us safe
HLTAID003 or higher First Aid, Anaphylaxis & Asthma Management Training
Child Protection Training of course!

General Educator Work Hours:
You get to spend heaps of time with us because this job is Monday - Friday
Before School Care 7:00am-9:00am
After School Care 2:40pm - 6:00pm
Holiday Program - up to 6 hours per day
