Full Job Description

The role

We are seeking a Work Placement Consultant who will be responsible for identifying and managing work placement hosts for Ageing, Community Services and Health courses nationally. Reporting to the Head of Work Placement, this is an independent role focussing on identifying and securing work placement opportunities for our students.

Key responsibilities:

  • Identify potential work placement hosts and secure opportunities for students
  • Develop and maintain relationships with current and potential work placement hosts
  • Plan, coordinate and allocate students to appropriate work placement hosts
  • Collaborate with the academic and student services team to manage work placements for students
  • Proactively provide feedback and advise of any critical issues related to placements
  • Provide work placement material and assessment briefings to Trainer and Assessors to support them in their development and delivery
  • Ensure all Work Placements are fully compliant with the relevant qualifications
  • Manage all admin tasks and prepare reports as required

Qualifications, experience and personal attributes

  • At least 2 years current industry experience in the vocational sector
  • 2+ years of experience as a Trainer and Assessor
  • Prior experience in admin related roles preferred but not essential
  • Demonstrated understanding of vocational education principles, student services and reporting requirements
  • Sound knowledge of other training packages and units of competency
  • Ability to work independently and autonomously
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong people management skills
  • Ability to collaborate and work in a diverse environment
  • Intermediate IT skills
