An exciting opportunity exists for an energetic and innovative individual for the position of Head of Department - Student Services at Hambledon State School. The successful applicant will lead a proactive team who will implement strategies to engage students Positive Behaviour for Learning - PBL. This role will oversee student data tracking, including academic, attendance, behaviour and effort, managing complex behaviour cases for tier 2 and 3 students, behaviour profiling and be in charge of an Alternate learning space. This position will have a strong focus on Inclusive Education.

About You

Behaviour management (particularly restorative practices, ECMS and or classroom profiling)
Alternative programs (eg. Rock and Water and Drumbeat)
Trauma-Informed Practices/education strategies
Mental Health/social/emotional support strategies
Strong conflict resolution, mediation skills and staff team building skills
Build and maintain extensive community partnerships with support agencies
Data Literacy to develop and implement systems to track, monitor and lead intervention for student learning progress and wellbeing
Parent communication.

This is necessary to influence and support teachers in all areas to develop their differentiated teaching capacity and quality curriculum and assessment items to maximise student learning.

Your Role

As the Head of Department - Student Services, you will have responsibility for (but not limited to) leading the following activities and delivering the following key tasks:

Provide leadership and guidance for the implementation of innovative measures aimed at improving student learning outcomes and attendance.
Provide leadership in the continued implementation of Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL).
Where requested, prepare all data returns for the Principal and PBL committee. (Knowledge of OneSchool will be highly regarded).
Monitor students' individual performance and behaviour and develop and implement intervention strategies where necessary.
Conduct Positive Classroom Check, working with teachers to build their capability in behaviour management techniques and practices.
Lead the school's Classroom Profiling agenda.

A mandatory requirement of this role is:
