The Faculty of Science, Agriculture, Business & Law at UNE is currently inviting applications from highly motivated and qualified individuals for the position of Lecturer in Crop Science (Horticulture) in the Agronomy and Soil Science discipline of the School of Environmental and Rural Science.

About the role

Joining the Agronomy and Soil Science team in the School of Environmental and Rural Science will give you the opportunity to work with talented researchers across the fields of Animal Science, Botany, Earth Sciences, Ecology, Evolutionary Biology, Environmental Management, Plant Science and Zoology to strengthen the University¿s research, teaching and training capacity in sustainable agricultural production. Agricultural and Animal and Veterinary Sciences at UNE are ranked 5 out of 5 and have been an area of growth in recent years.

Our team is seeking an innovative and collaborative researcher to contribute to our popular teaching programs, and develop an outstanding research profile working in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Skills & experience

The successful appointee will have a PhD in plant science, preferably in horticultural crop management (physiology and/or nutrition and/or pathology) or controlled environment cropping or a relevant discipline, and experience and interest in the delivery of high-quality tertiary-level teaching. They should also have a demonstrated research portfolio and be willing to build or participate in collaborations with other researchers in the environmental, agricultural, biological and sustainability sciences.
