Higher Solution Specialists is a privately-owned company that has built a strong reputation amongst all our clients as being a quality recruitment provider. Currently we are seeking an experienced RTO Managerfor a renowned higher education institution in Perth.

Reporting to the Managing Director, the RTO Manager will maintain the day to day operation of administration and compliance activities. In addition, at all times promote the understanding and application of policies and procedures across all facets of the organisation and instil in all staff the importance of adherence to the National Regulator compliance requirements (ASQA) and WA Department of Training (WADOT) compliance requirements.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Overall RTO compliance and management
  • Acting as the RTO representative to validate and sign off assessment decisions of Assessors.
  • Managing quality standards and VET Quality Framework compliance issues.
  • Administering internal audit program as a measure of ongoing compliance with National VET Regulator standards and requirements.
  • Meeting National VET Regulator reporting requirements, e.g. quality indicators, AVETMISS.
  • Working with Data Quality Manager to provide support and maintain compliance
  • Maintain and/or develop required compliant documents to maintain current and ongoing compliance requirements
  • Reviewing policies, procedures, systems and practices
  • Compiling monthly funding submissions for the State Funding body in conjunction with the Managing Director.
  • Liaising with State Government agencies (e.g. DTWD-Training Resource Allocation) regarding Traineeship funding issues.
  • Managing accounts receivable and accounts payable activities in conjunction with the Administration Assistant and Finance Manager
  • Managing Training Contracts
  • Maintaining trainers and assessor’s matrix portfolios
  • Reviewing maintaining compliance (ASQA & DTWD)
  • Managing and supporting the activities of the Administration Assistant.
  • Managing Trainer assessors, particularly in regard to their case-loads, meeting quotas and their quality performance

 Key Skills and responsibilities for this role:

  • TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent -essential
  • Managerial qualifications – essential
  • Experience reviewing maintaining compliance (ASQA & DTWD)
  • Experience managing Trainer Assessors and administrative staff
  • Experience Liaising with State Government agencies, governing bodies and stakeholders
  • Experience meeting National VET Regulator reporting requirements
  • A relevant degree and considerable relevant experience within an RTO
  • Achieve project outcomes successfully and on time
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and team members to design creative, interactive learning solutions.
