The UTS Student Administration Unit (SAU) facilitates all aspects of the student lifecycle, from enquiry to graduation. It supports excellence in teaching, learning and research by delivering high quality, compliant and client focused administration of the University’s policies and rules relating to student administration.

The Unit is currently recruiting an Officer, Fees and Scholarships to assist with the efficient administration of student-related matters providing high level Scholarships related support to the team, its customers and stakeholders.

This position will be within the Scholarships team, and will report to the Coordinator, Scholarships. The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration of scholarships for International students.

Main duties/responsibilities:

  • Administer the scholarships related processes including payments and sponsorships, eligibility, assessment and selection committees
  • Collect and maintain scholarship and prize information and administration of financial and recipient data
  • Effectively administer scholarships targeting international students which includes supporting UTS International with every aspect of the scholarship lifecycle.
  • Interpret and provide accurate advice to university stakeholders and other relevant parties on legislation, rules and procedures.
  • Analyse current processes and make continual improvements in collaboration with the scholarships team processes

Main skills/experience required:

  • A high degree of accuracy with figures and high-level numeracy skills, including the ability to manipulate and analyse data from a range of sources
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including verbal and written skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as contributing to team tasks and deadlines, and contributing to the improvement of business practices and performance
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills, including the ability to proactively identify issues, provide advice and exercise sound judgement within the area of responsibility

Remuneration

Base Salary Range $71,774 to $82,110 - (HEW 5)

This appointment will be full-time and made on a fixed term basis until March 2023 (2 years).
