An exciting opportunity exists for a highly self-motivated Speech Pathologist to join the Inner East Student Support Services (SSS) Branch working in the Department of Education (DET).

An exciting opportunity exists for a highly self-motivated Speech Pathologist to join the Inner East Student Support Services (SSS) Branch working in the Department of Education (DET).

The Inner East Area comprises four Local Government Areas and SSS teams: Monash, Whitehorse, Manningham and Boroondara. The positiom is located in the Inner East Area, North East Victoria Region, it is an ongoing position located in Glen Waverley.

SSS Speech Pathologists work within a multidisciplinary team to support students, families, teachers and schools. You will utilise current evidence based high quality programs and strategies to influence and build the capability of teachers and schools to support the wellbeing of their students and, work collaboratively with other professionals on complex cases. Flexibility, the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team and the capability to work autonomously when required are key requirements for this position.

As a Speech Pathologist with Student Support Services you will work within a multidisciplinary area-based team to build the capabilities of schools to support children and young people to access education. You will provide a comprehensive range of Speech Pathology services to school aged students to improve student wellbeing and learning outcomes. You will have highly developed communication, networking and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to liaise with a range of people in the education community and support services.
