About the Centre/Service

Davis Street Kindergarten is a community of learners, where children are encouraged to develop a strong self-image and love of learning. The Kindergarten building has two classrooms: offering one sessional 3YO program, 2 sessional 4YO programs and a 4YO Pre-Prep program. All of our programs are influenced by the educational projects of Reggio Emilia. Our kindergarten and programs are highly regarded within the Community, we have been assessed against the National Quality Framework and have received an overall rating of “Exceeding”. Our programs are delivered by caring, creative and experienced team members in bright, welcoming and inspirational classrooms with two stimulating outdoor gardens. Our team members are highly skilled, many have longevity of service and are committed to their own ongoing learning. Davis Street Kindergarten is committed to children’s safety in accordance with the requirements of relevant child safe standards and legislation. Description

Role Description: We are seeking a co-educator to join our sessional group (of up to 28 children) to start as soon as possible. To join our team, you will be well organised, show initiative and possess excellent communication skills. Applicants need only apply if keen to embrace and learn about the Reggio Emilia approach to children’s education. There is opportunity to undertake additional hours within other programs throughout the year if interested.

Qualifications

1. Diploma in Children’s Services (ACECQA approved)
2. Hold a current Working with Children Check, and current First Aid Certificate with CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Training.
