The Deakin Business School (DBS) is in the top 1% of business schools globally holding both AACSB and EQUIS accreditations.

The MBA (Global) is a unique online MBA program currently only offered in India. It incorporates the skills, knowledge, and real experience necessary to develop the global business leaders of tomorrow. It exposes students to the challenges of businesses operating today and develops the capacity to generate opportunities for value-creation going forward. The program emphasises professional development providing opportunities to develop the critical thinking, communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills to excel in senior business leadership roles.

An exciting opportunity has now arisen for a new Course Director to oversee and coordinate the MBA (Global). The Course Director is responsible for coordinating the design, delivery and assessment of the MBA (Global) including liaison with our in-country partner.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Global MBA course governance, and assurance of appropriate academic standards, quality and compliance with Deakin’s policies and external requirements
  • Oversight, in conjunction with the academic team, of the delivery of the MBA Global units to ensure ongoing review, authentic assessment, continuous improvement and innovation in the course.
  • Maintaining appropriate oversight of the learning outcomes to ensure they reflect the Deakin Graduate Learning Outcomes and the requirements of the Australian Qualifications Framework, relevant professional or accreditation bodies, and University policy
  • Overseeing, monitoring and reviewing the quality of the program(s) delivered in collaboration with our in-country partner, assuring student experience, success, retention, progress and learning outcomes of the course are prioritised.
  • Leading all efforts on student evaluations and championing continuous quality improvement processes and the use of internal and external performance, positioning and benchmarking analytics
  • Provide input into the marketing plan and promotional materials for the course including contribution to student recruitment activities

To be successful, you will have:

  • Academic selection criteria equivalent to a Level C or above
  • Experience in teaching or administration in India
  • Experience within tertiary education administration or a large organisation with complex administrative structure, policies and procedures
  • Teaching innovation and curriculum development in a related discipline of the course, preferably in an online environment
  • Evidence of an ability to build partnerships with professional, industry and government organisations to further relevant educational, research and entrepreneurial activities development in a business-or business-related discipline
  • At least five years of relevant industry experience, preferably in an international setting
