Do you have a love for design, and a passion for sharing your design knowledge with the wider community? We are looking for a skilled and experienced design educator to help us create and deliver a leading educational program to educate, inspire and engage our creator community with a series of tutorials, workshops and webinars.

You'll be responsible for developing a relationship with our community of talented designers - providing constructive feedback, and maintaining and supporting our quality guidelines, and creating educational content to up-skill our community.

Over time, you'll have the opportunity to develop a thriving creative community of designers who contribute templates to Canva - lifting the standard of our design, and providing learnings and tutorials back to the community, super-powering a global community of content creators.

About the Role

• Help us build effective and scalable design educational programming that maps to desired learning outcomes
• Educate designers through tutorials, comms, social posts, and documentation - communicating design tips, technical requirements, and quality standards to our designers, empowering them to create better design
• Leverage experts across the Canva Team to help with the creation of course content where relevant
• Collaborate internally with teams such as Design School, Community and others to leverage their expertise and design content where possible, and share the content you create with them, where relevant

• Help our creator community to up-skill and to excel in their craft
• Empower our creator community to provide high-quality design consistently - developing quality standards for our template collection, and working with a global cohort of designers to hit those standards (and exceed them!)
• Nurture a collaborative, trusting environment amongst our creator community
• Successfully help us develop our design basics series, and then work with us to scale this and create multiple series across other key topics
• Constantly iterate on your content to ensure this suits every learning style and leads to the desired outcomes
• and… do the best work of your life!

• Experienced designer with a strong portfolio of work
• Deep understanding of the foundational principles of design
• Experience in working across a range of design areas such as print and digital
• Education minded designer and content developer
• Strong instructional design expertise
• Strong grasp of teaching and learning styles and methods
• While we won't be taking any blood samples, we'd love to see some Startup DNA - you will need to be flexible, pragmatic, strategic, tenacious, and take ownership of deliverables and outcomes - ya gotta have hustle!
