About the role

Sitting within the Data and Analytic Department and reporting to the Director Data & Performance Analytics, the Data Governance Program Manager will play a critical role within the University leading the implementation of the the data governance framework, developing initiative to insure quality data, in a safe and managed environment so that data can be harness for information potential in a consistent manner. The initiative will focus on the many aspects of data: definition, quality, compliance, accessibility, security and policy.

Working closely with key stakeholders, you will be required to develop the process model and resolution of data issues, develop and maintain policies, which in turn will play a pivotal role in underpinning data governance which will include data strategy. You will also design and build data frameworks, which will enable the university to adhere to regulatory compliance, as well as assisting with data analysis and reporting.

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • Tertiary qualifications in data management, information science, data analytics, or a related area, or equivalent alternate combination of relevant knowledge, training and or experience.
  • Vast experience in leading, designing, implementing, or supporting data governance across either a corporate entity or university.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within project management methodologies.
  • Experience working with data related and business intelligence tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a complex and political environment.
  • Proven record of developing innovative solutions and practical implementations for strategic change.
