Salary package: $119,844 - $133,202 (Level C) or $143,216 - $152,124 (Level D), plus 17% superannuationTerms: Fixed Term - 5 years, full-time Position overview The Centre for Gambling Research (CGR) was established at the ANU in the early 2000s as a joint initiative between the ANU and the ACT Gambling and Racing Commission. The CGR has a track record of undertaking high-quality, evidence-based policy relevant gambling research. The primary aim of CGR is to undertake research with the goal of informing the direction of gambling-related policy and service provision in the ACT and Australia, as well as placing a significant emphasis on the dissemination of research findings to relevant stakeholders and the community more broadly.

The CGR has undertaken extensive research on the social and economic impacts of gambling, the regulation of gambling, the impacts experienced by people and families with gambling problems, and the development of prevention and harm-minimisation strategies to reduce negative impacts from gambling. At the start of 2017, the CGR was relocated to the ANU Centre for Social Research and Methods (CSRM).

The appointee will be responsible for the management of the CGR, including oversight of the research activities, management of relationship with key stakeholders including the ACT Gambling and Racing Commission and attracting research funding.

The ANU College of Arts and Social Sciences (CASS) is one of seven Colleges at ANU.
