JOB DESCRIPTION
The role:
The Advocacy Officer is responsible for the support and guidance to students during their time at the University. The Advocacy Officer will demonstrate strong leadership, knowledge and experience with the ability to make a valued contribution to the team within the respective service area.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide independent advice, support, liaison and assistance to students
- Support, foster and grow student experiences whilst delivering exceptional customer service
- Work in line with Swinburne University regulations, policy and procedures
- Planning and development of student programs and presentations as required
- Support Student Life to deliver continuous improvement and digital innovation
- Exceptional written communication skills (high level of grammar and comprehension)
- High level critical thinking and problem solving skills with high resilience
- Demonstrated relevant experience in the interpretation and implementation of policies and procedures
- Strong planning and organisational skills and the ability to be able to effectively manage competing priorities
- Must hold a valid working with children's check and valid drivers license
- Flexible working arrangements - both from home and on campus
- Work with a well regarded University
- $70,704 + 17% super
- Autonomy in the role with a strong like minded team
This position is required to work across all campuses, including Croydon, Hawthorn and Wantirna South.
