Teacher – Goodstart Tiwi

Goodstart is Australia’s largest early learning provider. As a not–for–profit social enterprise, we exist purely to improve the lives of Australia’s children and their families. Our people are our foundation, together we are working to ensure children have the learning, development and wellbeing outcomes they need for school and life.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Teacher to develop programs and practices that are responsive to our children’s needs and aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standard.

Goodstart Early Learning Tiwi is located in a convenient and safe area, close to local schools and shops as well as community facilities. We have a major shopping centre nearby and our onsite parking makes the daily drop-off and pick-up stress-free.
Operating hours 7.00am to 6.00pm, Monday to Friday. The centre caters for 75 children aged from six weeks to 5 years.

The children's playground provides large areas filled with fun, challenging and open-ended resources to encourage children's physical development, exploration and enquiry. There are many natural spaces which allow the children to safely explore and grow a greater understanding about their world and how to care for our environment.
A major focus for the centre is working with the broader community to help enrich the children’s learning experience. Hosting our community partners to come visit the centre as well as excursions and participation in community events. Through this allows for a deepened relationship between the centre and the community while teaching the children about being contributing and active members of society.

Inside, all of the rooms - from Nursery to Kindergarten - are all set up in line with an Early Years Learning Framework, with sensory and play based learning opportunities. Colourful, stimulating surrounds ensure the children have the chance to grow and develop through sensory, play-based learning.
