The Opportunity
An opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and motivated Post-doctoral Research Fellow to join the Australian Centre for Blood Diseases, part of Monash’s Central Clinical School. The Australian Centre for Blood Diseases, (ACBD) aims to provide excellence in the diagnosis and treatment of blood conditions as well as play a leading role in the advancement of knowledge in this increasingly important area of Medicine.
The position is a post-doctoral position within the Blood Cancer Genomics Group (Perkins). Joining a team of nine, the Research Fellow will perform high-quality research under limited supervision, design and conduct advanced experimental protocols and supervise students where required.
The successful candidate will have a PhD in a related area and present extensive experience in molecular biology and genomics techniques such as RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, in situ Hi-C, and other biochemical techniques. Prior experience in bioinformatics and visualisation tools for NGS data will be highly beneficial.
This role is a full-time position; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.
