The Organisation

ClimateWorks Australia is an expert, independent adviser, acting as a bridge between research and action to accelerate the transition to net zero emissions for Australia and Asia Pacific. It was co-founded in 2009 by The Myer Foundation and Monash University and works within the Monash Sustainable Development Institute. ClimateWorks Australia also benefits from strong relationships with an international network of affiliated organisations that support effective policies, financing and action for greenhouse gas emissions reductions.

The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our dedicated team of professionals. You will be part of the ClimateWorks National Programs Team, providing support for the successful delivery of projects to accelerate emissions reductions within the Missions Possible program, focused on net-zero emissions in Australian industry. You will work closely with project stakeholders, both internal and external, taking a collaborative approach to develop and deliver the project in accordance with agreed time-frames, within budget and to achieve strategic business outcomes.

You will ensure the project reflects input from and needs of our key stakeholders, primarily large industrial corporations, as well as working with relevant government and research entities. You will plan and deliver workshops and other engagement opportunities with those stakeholders. You will also oversee the development of the project's communication materials, which will include reports, briefings and presentations and support the setup of implementation initiatives coming out of the project, including identifying project partners, management and fundraising activities.

In this exciting opportunity, you can apply your knowledge and experience with large industrial corporations as well as your excellent organisational, communication, engagement and management skills to a project with the potential for large impact, while also learning from an experienced team, and rapidly developing skills in a growing organisation.

You are able to work independently and take initiative, and possess the capability and mindset to learn fast on the job. If you are ready to take on this exciting challenge, we look forward to hearing from you.

This role is a full-time position; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.

At Monash University, we are committed to being a Child Safe organisation. Some positions at the University will require the incumbent to hold a valid Working with Children Check.
