About the role:

We are currently looking for a Quality Assurance Coach to support the leadership team and our 9 centres based in the ACT. This role is a 4-month fixed term contract and will form part of a crucial organisational project. Reporting to G8’s Quality and Compliance Leader, this role provides coaching in all areas of quality and compliance. The role will be focused on continuous improvement activities which support the development of Quality Improvement Plans that will lead to sustained compliance success, ‘excellent’ ratings and positive outcomes for the G8 team, our children and families.

Key responsibilities: 

  • Work collaboratively with centre teams to ensure practices meet the required quality and compliance standards and regulations
  • Facilitate engaging and interactive professional learning for centre teams using the Quality and Compliance Team resources
  • Support the development of Centre Quality Improvement Plans based on internal audit outcomes and organisational policies, procedures and programs and work with Centre Managers
  • Support the promotion and operationalisation of the National Quality Framework, Work Health and Safety, Child Safety and Wellbeing and Food Safety requirements to promote positive outcomes for children and families
  • Identify and report areas for improved corporate support regarding quality policies, procedures, processes and compliance to the Quality and Compliance Leader.
  • Guide Regional, Area and Centre Managers in maintaining ongoing compliance and preparedness for external audits and to ensure ongoing learning
  • Facilitate and/or participate in investigations regarding noncompliance breach notices and child safety or welfare incidents .
  • Report on performance and outcomes of the role activities and escalate issues where audit schedules or tasks cannot be met.

Ideally you will have:

  • Extensive experience within the Early Education sector, and a thorough knowledge of the National Quality Framework, Early Years Learning Framework, My Time Our Place, related laws, regulations, guidelines and best practice are essential
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills that articulates language to meet audience needs
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated experience in coaching
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritise, act quickly, calmly, and thoughtfully to mitigate risk
  • Proven ability to maintain privacy and dignity always and always act in the best interests of G8 Education
  • Minimum Industry Diploma with at least 3 years’ experience in a supervisor or leadership position.
  • Audit Training in any sector
  • Previous Child Safety, social work or qualified Early Childhood Educator would be an advantage.
  • Previous training from role as an Australian Children’s Education and Care Authority Authorised Officer.
  • Flexibility to undertake domestic travel as required from an operational perspective (as per the business requirements)
