Our team is growing! We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to join our existing Team of OSHC Gurus! 

An exciting opportunity has become available for a full-time experienced Operations Manager to join the School Plus Leadership Team. The role requires supporting a portfolio of Outside School Hours Care Services in South East Queensland and will require travel to visit these services within local Brisbane suburbs.

This is a role for an experienced OSHC Manager with:

  • 8 plus years of experience in the OSHC/Child Care Industry with a strong understanding of the National Quality Framework and the compliance and regulatory requirements 
  • Minimum of Diploma level qualifications or higher in children services or education.
  • Holds a current Blue Card from the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian.
  • Hold First Aid, CPR or willing to obtain and maintain
  • QikKids Experience preferred
  • Drivers licence and capacity to travel to services in South East Queensland - travel allowances provided.
  • Strong understanding of child protection regulations, reporting and support of families and staff with positive behaviour support plans 
  • Experience in supporting services in the Quality Assessment and Rating processes and conducting regularly continuous improvement visits to OSHC services in South East Queensland, to make valuable suggestions about routines, practices and compliance
  • Experience in writing, reviewing and implement Quality Improvement Plans and risk assessments 
  • Ability to develop and deliver training on in-house operations procedures to services;
  • Experience in conducting probation and performance appraisals for the Coordinators of the services;
  • Ability to liaise with School Management on operational, issues of child safety, WH&S and other projects
  • Ability to problem solve and present workable solutions and alternatives for consideration by the Directors;
  • Ability to resolve customer complaints autonomously;
  • Experience in supporting services with children with additional needs and inclusion support application process via online Government agency portals
  • To communicate and work in conjunction with School Plus Directors to support the objectives and overall management of the business;
  • Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills;
  • The ability to work both independently and cooperatively as a team member; 
  • Demonstrated a positive and enthusiastic attitude towards all work tasks; 
  • Accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks and low error rates; and
  • The ongoing commitment to School Plus values.
