Assistant Educator (Diploma / Diploma in Training) | Early Childhood Education | Belrose Area

We are looking for a part or full time Assistant Educator (Diploma / Diploma in training) to join this wonderful, independently owned and family run Service in the Belrose Area.

With over 40 years’ experience in Early Childhood Education & Care, you will have the opportunity to work in a supportive environment with a great organisational structure including an experienced Service Director, Assistant Director (Educational Leader) & Room Leaders.

We are looking for an Assistant Educator who is passionate about Education & Care for children and implementing a play-based, child-interest led curriculum.

Why this role?

  • Level 3.4 (Diploma) $26.01 per hour, open to above award for the right candidate.
  • 3-6 hours off the floor each week.
  • Flexible on hours, full time or part time hours to suit candidate.
  • Employer is flexible on hours: if the right person wants part time minimum 3 days per week, or full time over 5 days, or can do full time over 4 days, etc. Very flexible.
  • Working in the 3-4 room for 2021, however can move around year to year (service takes 18 months - 6 years).
  • Opportunity for growth and expansion into other roles in the future however due to the low staff turnover, there is no room to move this year – but possibly later.
  • 20% discuount at the service for own children (if they have the space).
  • Assisted by an experienced Service Director, Assistant Director & Room Leaders.
  • Approved for less than 60 children per day.

  • CCMS – KidsXap.
  • 18 minutes from Chatswood, 15 minutes from Dee Why, 28 minutes from Hornsby.

Who are we looking for?

  • A Diploma or working towards in Children’s Services.
  • Someone with empathy & patience, who can build relationships with Management, colleagues, stakeholders, families, children & the community.
  • Someone that has a natural affinity for children and a genuine desire to nurture their development.
  • Understanding of the National Quality Framework.
  • Understanding of the EYLF: Belonging, Being and Becoming: The Early Years Learning Framework for Australia.
  • CHCPRT001Identify and respond to children and young people at risk - Accredited Child Protection or willingness to obtain (1 day training).
  • HLTAID004Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting or willingness to obtain (1 day training).
