Kinder Kare is a spacious and modern long day care service. We are looking for an experienced and passionate Diploma Qualified Room Leader to help with the planning, implementation and delivery of our early childhood program in the toddler room (ages 2-3)
The centre is purpose-built, modern and freshly renovated, providing you with all the resources you would need to create the highest quality early childhood programs.
Kinder Kare is open 6:30am to 6:30pm, Monday to Friday and caters for children from 0 to 12 years of age.
We aim to provide a high-quality Early Childhood learning program within a fun, creative and relaxed work environment with fantastic resources. Our reputation in the local area is second to none.
Your Key Priorities
As one of our Room Leaders, you'll need to:
- Ensure that a developmentally and educationally appropriate program is planned and implemented for each child
- Assess the needs of each child, monitor their progress and set achievable goals to continue progress
- Regularly monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of our programs and record improvements for future programming
- Create a friendly, secure, stimulating and interactive learning environment for children
- Maintain positive working relationships with all team members and families
- Ensure health and safety standards are adhered to at all times
Kinder Kare is highly staffed which means the workload is reduced. The work hours can be flexible to suit the right candidate.
Your Skills & Qualifications
To be considered for the role, you will have:
- A Diploma in Children's Services or Early Childhood Education
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a room leader
- At least 2 years of ongoing experience at one centre
- Passion and ability to provide a high standard of care and education
- Current Working with Children's check
- Current First Aid and Asthma & Anaphylaxis certificates
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills
- Excellent understanding of the National Quality Standards (NQS) and Early Years Learning Framework (ELYF)
- Knowledge and experience in planning, programming and observing
- The ability to embrace technology and use programming and planning software

COVID-19 considerations:
To avoid excessive foot traffic in the centre, parents drop their children off and pick them up from the front door. Educators are responsible for taking their temperatures and taking them to their classroom.
