Operational Readiness

The Operational Readiness team is at the forefront of integrating transformational change into Melbourne's Metropolitan Rail Network and is seeking a Training Planning and Delivery Specialist to join the team to ensure that project related training is appropriately planned, resourced and delivered.

Your new role:

As Operations Training Specialist, you will plan, determine and deliver the training requirements in regards to project changes entering the business. You will support the delivery of each training event by training our Drivers and the creation of technical training materials.
Please note this role is on an 18 month secondment basis and only qualified MTM Drivers can be considered.

• Determine the Driver training requirements for level crossing removal projects around the network.
• Design and deliver practical and CGI-based Driver training events, using network and rostering knowledge.
• Assist in Network Operations training risk assessments for Signallers and Train Controllers.
• Interface with critical resource stakeholders, in determining training resources and requirements.
• Engage with multiple stakeholders, when planning the integration of training events into the business.

About you:

• Train Driver qualifications.
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
• Excellent understanding of rail infrastructure, track alignment, signalling and signal working.
• Ability to articulate technical rail infrastructure information and turn these into training requirements.
• Strong stakeholder engagement experience, with both technical and non-technical personnel.
