  • Commencement salary $88,363 p.a. plus superannuation

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Employee Relations (ER)/Industrial Relations (IR) specialist to join our People and Capability team in a full-time ongoing position. Reporting to the Manager, People and Capability, you will be responsible managing the ER function including providing support and advice to the EBA negotiation team/s. Other duties include coordination of Workforce Management, Dispute Resolution, Managing Diversity, Employee Complaints, Underperformance and Disciplinary Action.

You will have:
  • Completed a relevant tertiary qualification in HR or a similar discipline.
  • Substantial experience in a similar role and or environment with an emphasis on Employee Relations.
  • Current knowledge and understanding of ER/IR legislation and practices in Australia, preferable in the Vocational TAFE or Higher Education sectors.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience in the interpretation of the National Employment Standards, Modern Awards, EBAs and their processes, relevant legislation, employment law and policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work without supervision, set objectives and meet deadlines.
  • A current National Police Check and Working with Children Check will be required.
