- $88,889 - $104,427* Pro rata plus superannuation
About the role
A Level B academic with a teaching focused appointment will work without the need for close supervision and is expected to develop curriculum, coordinate subjects, teach and support students as they learn. In addition, a teaching focused academic will support the administrative functions of the discipline as well as undertake scholarly work relevant to the development of learning and teaching in their discipline or professional field. A teaching focused academic is expected to demonstrate teaching excellence in keeping with the La Trobe Teaching Excellence Principles and maintain a track record of excellence as evidenced by Student Feedback on Teaching (SFT) surveys, peer-feedback on teaching and through other evidence-based measures.
Skills & Experience
In order to be successful in this role, the preferred candidate will have:
- Completion of a PhD or equivalent qualifications and standing recognised by the University/profession as appropriate for the discipline area.
- Demonstrated recent professional practice expertise and/or scholarly leadership in health informatics and one or more of the other three sub-domains of the professional discipline: health classification; health information science, management and practice; and health data analytics.
- SQL programming skills to extract reports, identify data anomalies and data visualisation capabilities from health data sets.
- Experience and understanding of emerging health information technologies and their impact upon the distribution and dissemination of health data.
