Overview

Shoalhaven City Council offers work experience placements in the following areas:

• Construction and Maintenance

• Tourism / Holiday Haven / Visitor's Services

• Administration (Based out of Ulladulla)
• Libraries
• Parks Maintenance
• Mechanical Services
• Information Technology - Hardware Services
• Welding and Metals
• Electricity and Communications
• Art Galleries
• Animal Shelter
• Aquatics
• Waste Services

This listing is for those students seeking a work experience placement during Term 1, 2021. Opportunities for work experience placements will be advertised each term.

About You

In order to be successful in the position, you will:

• Show an interest in customer service.

• Possess time management and prioritisation skills.

• Have the ability to share information and work collaboratively.

• Exhibit positive behaviors and show initiative.

• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Have the ability to work effectively and cooperatively as part of a team.

• Have the ability to work unsupervised.

• Adhere to prescribed WHS practices

NB: Work experience in Construction will require you to hold a NSW Construction Induction Card (White Card). You will also be required to wear Steel Cap Boots.
