JOB DESCRIPTION

Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools Ltd (MACS) is a dynamic educational governing authority and service provider to Catholic primary, secondary and special schools in the Archdiocese of Melbourne. More than 550 staff work across the head office in East Melbourne and four regional offices in the North, East, South and West. MACS provides services to schools in areas as diverse as Curriculum, RE, Finance, ICT, Marketing and Communications, Student Wellbeing, Legal, Planning and Industrial Relations. MACS is committed to the safety, wellbeing and protection of all children in our care.

ABOUT THE POSITION

Applications are sought from suitably qualified Speech Pathologists to provide support to schools and agents to enhance learning outcomes for students with communication impairments and provide advice regarding school needs and trends in the area of speech pathology.

The salary range for this position is $73,938 - $97,812 per annum (SP Grade 2, subdivision 1 – SP Grade 3, subdivision 6) and is classified under the Speech Pathologist scale of the Victorian Catholic Education Multi Enterprise Agreement 2018. Superannuation contribution in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee Legislation is in addition to this salary payment. Annual leave of four weeks and professional working hours apply to this position and other conditions as per the Victorian Catholic Education Multi Enterprise Agreement 2018.

This is a full-time, fixed term position until April 2022 based in our Western Region Office in Werribee.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL

The successful applicant will have well developed interpersonal skills with the ability to consult effectively and manage multiple stakeholder interests whilst working collaboratively within a team. You will have knowledge in developing school/home based programs for students with communication impairments, maintain an awareness of recent developments in the management of communication impairments in school aged children and the ability to maintain detailed and accurate records of assessment, treatment and progress. Support will be provided to graduates who may not have extensive experience.

Experience in a school based environment will be highly regarded.

The successful applicant will be subject to a Working with Children Check and a National Police Record Check.
