About The Role

As part of the ongoing growth of the Government Solutions business within the APAC Region we have recently realigned our business into three major lines of business and created a newly formed Systems and Training Solutions (STS) line of business.

We are now seeking an experienced Team Lead – Training, Analysis, Design and Development to work with the Discipline Lead – Training to provide technical guidance to discipline personnel and the business generally. Therefore, your expertise will be consulted extensively by associates and others and so a high degree of reliance will be placed on your technical expertise and advice.

Furthermore, you will ensure relevant operational, quality, administrative, governance and compliance functions are properly executed and met as well as manage the ongoing execution and delivery of relevant training projects as required.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Lead sub-discipline in all areas of Training Analysis, Design, and Development, including:
    • Conduct of Performance Needs Analysis and/or Training Needs Analysis in a Defence, Government and/or industry context
    • Design and Development of Learning Management Packages, Training collateral, Performance Support Materials
    • Planning and execution of complete learning/training package development across multiple delivery methods (eLearning, ILT, etc.)
    • Delivery of training, including contemporary facilitation methods and media
  • Extensive/demonstrated working knowledge and experience in the Systems Approach to Defence Learning (SADL); its processes and procedures, and its application in the context of capability development within the Australian Defence environment
  • Leveraging own extensive knowledge and experience, develop sub-discipline knowledge of the Systems Approach to Defence Learning; develop templates and processes to assist the business in upskilling non-SADL resources in Defence training protocols
  • Relies upon experience, interpersonal skills, and broad and deep knowledge of training discipline (in a Defence context) to ensure task completion in compliance with policies, procedures, quality standards and business strategy
  • Working with the Discipline Lead, manage talent acquisition and development, including maintenance of sub-discipline resources to support program/project cross product service and product development needs as required
  • Prioritise sub-discipline workload to routinely meet negotiated deadlines and ensure business needs are satisfied
  • Establish key performance goals and objectives for the sub-discipline specialisation; including monitor the performance of sub-discipline team members and provide coaching/feedback as required; provide performance review and evaluation of subordinate staff
  • Actively support BD/Sales team to win new opportunities; including the provision of sub-discipline SME support for sales initiatives and proposal development

S Kills And Experience

To secure this position, ideally you will possess a qualification in a relevant discipline and/or possess 5+ years industry experience. Experience in a team leadership role is desirable.

You will have excellent communication skills and a track record in delivery.

Appointment to this position is contingent upon obtaining a Defence Security Clearance which includes being an Australian citizen.
