Pembroke School is a co-educational, non-denominational, day and boarding school from Early Learning to Year 12. Pembroke staff and students are encouraged to delight in learning, work and the exploration of their own potential.

Pembroke is seeking a high calibre and suitably experienced applicant to undertake the role of Personal Assistant to the Head of Junior School. This is a permanent, part time position working full time during term time (37.5 hours per week, 41 weeks per year). The successful candidate will:

  • Provide high quality, confidential assistance and support to the Head of Junior School
  • Actively foster positive relationships and work with all members of the School community including parents, students and staff
  • Work collaboratively with the Junior School Office team
  • Undertake administrative tasks, including but not limited maintaining accurate student information, developing and collating publications, preparing and distributing correspondence and answering internal and external enquiries
  • Assist with the management of the sick room and attending to sick / injured children.

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to effectively engage and work with a range of stakeholders, particularly young people.
  • A proactive person who welcomes and encourages collaboration with others
  • Exceptional organisational skills, high attention to detail and the ability to effectively prioritise work and multi-task
  • An aptitude for and the capacity to utilise various IT and software programs
  • Current Working with Children Check, Reporting Abuse and Neglect Training certification and First Aid qualifications
  • Experience in a personal or executive assistant or administrative role is essential and experience in a School environment is desirable.
